About Trung Pham
Dr Trung Pham is an experienced urological surgeon providing compassionate, patient-centred care across Melbourne’s south-east and regional Victoria. A graduate of the University of Melbourne Medical School in 1991, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and became a Member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand in 2001.

Dr Pham completed his general surgical and urological training at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. He then undertook a year of clinical and laboratory research in prostate cancer at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, while also serving as an Associate Lecturer at The University of Queensland Medical School. Following this, he was awarded both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Foundation Travelling Scholarship and the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand Travelling Fellowship, which allowed him to gain further specialised training at the Institute of Urology in London, UK.
Dr Pham has extensive experience in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), a minimally invasive laser procedure now widely regarded as the gold standard treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) causing bladder outlet obstruction. He has been performing this procedure since 2003 and is recognised as one of most experienced HoLEP surgeons in Australia.
