To help make your visit as productive as possible, please ensure your referral has been sent to the practice prior to your appointment and bring a copy with you if available. You should also bring any relevant test results, such as imaging reports (for example CT scans or ultrasounds) and recent blood test results, particularly PSA where relevant. It is also helpful to bring a list of your current medications, information about any allergies, and details of other doctors involved in your care. This allows for a thorough assessment and ensures clear communication between your healthcare providers.
Yes, you are welcome to attend your appointment with a partner, family member, or support person. Many patients find this helpful, particularly when discussing complex or significant health issues. A support person may also assist with understanding information or providing reassurance. For comfort and privacy, we generally recommend limiting attendance to one person where possible.
Your initial appointment focuses on understanding your symptoms, medical history, and concerns. Mr Pham will review any previous investigations and discuss possible causes and treatment options with you. A physical examination may be performed if required. Depending on your situation, further investigations such as blood tests, imaging, or diagnostic procedures may be recommended. If you are experiencing urinary symptoms, additional tests such as a urine flow study may be arranged on the day where appropriate. After your consultation, a summary and management plan will be provided to your referring doctor.
Yes. Your referring doctor will receive a detailed letter outlining the outcome of your consultation, investigation results, and recommended management plan. Ongoing communication helps ensure coordinated care between Mr Pham and your GP.
